the Tony-award winning Broadway hit, Man of La Mancha!

The FCS Players proudly announces the Spring 2010 production of their 17th Annual Theatre Season – the Tony-award winning Broadway hit, Man of La Mancha!

            Winner of 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Man of La Mancha has been described as “One of the most inspiring musicals of all time!” and is the powerful story of Don Quixote de la Mancha – a knight errant who sallies forth to “right all wrongs” and “sees the world not as it is…but as it ought to be!”  It is also the story of one man’s hope for a life of love, faith, valor and compassion in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds and features timeless hit music including “Dulcinea,” the title song “Man of La Mancha,” and one of the world’s favorite ballads, “The Impossible Dream!” Director Paul DeMeritt guarantees that you’ll laugh, cry and cheer for this remarkable production!

Man of La Mancha will feature Josh Betts as Don Quixote, Kaylee Poppinga as Aldonza - Dulcinea, and Auston Duggins as Quixote’s squire Sancho Panza, who, along with Laura Dunham, Kessie Endsley, Lauren Heinrich, Meagan Maher, Larissa May, Brittany Raridan, Cameron Ripley, Alex Samay, Emily Ward, Victoria Ward, Cody Warta and Kalyn Whinnery will create a tapestry of song, comedy, adventure and courage guaranteed to entertain and inspire!  Returning to the FCS Players in a special guest appearance will be award-winning FCS Players alums Caleb Zurakowski  and Ben Cremer! 

With talented music directors Jeff Poppinga and Lana Dodd and the professional lighting, sound, sets, costumes and special effects you’ve come to expect from the FCS Players, audiences can look forward to a great evening of exciting entertainment with a timely message of hope!

Performance dates and times for Man of La Mancha! are April 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, and May 1 at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Yuba City, 3101 Colusa Highway, Yuba City, CA 95993. 

Tickets are on sale Monday – Friday from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Faith Christian High School Library/Box Office, 3105 Colusa Hwy, Yuba City.
